Protecting & Maintaining Your Vehicle Wrap

Like the rest of your vehicle, graphics and wraps need regular care to stay in top condition. Following the steps below will help extend the life of your wrap and ensure you get the best performance from your graphics.

HAND WASH

  • Begin by pre-rinsing the vehicle with clean water to remove loose dirt and help prevent surface scratching.
  • Wash gently using a mild soap solution and a soft sponge, starting at the top of the vehicle and working downward. Avoid excessive scrubbing, as it may damage the film surface.
  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water once washing is complete.
  • Allow the wrap to air dry, or to prevent water spots, use a silicone squeegee to remove excess water. Finish drying with a chamois, microfiber towel, or other soft, non-abrasive cloth.

NOTE

  • Be careful to not lift the film edges.
  • Detergent should be free from abrasive components, strong solvents and alcohols.
  • Detergents should have a pH balance between 5 and 9. Always test the detergent in an inconspicuous spot on the vehicle wrap before using.

POWER WASHERS SHOULD NOT BE USED.

**POWER WASHING WILL DAMAGE THE VEHICLE WRAP**

AUTOMATIC CAR WASH SHOULD NOT BE USED.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

  •  Whenever possible, park the vehicle in a shaded area, garage, or covered space to reduce sun exposure and extend the life of the wrap.
  • At higher elevations, such as mountainous regions, UV exposure is significantly stronger than at sea level due to thinner atmosphere and reduced natural UV filtering. This can accelerate wear on the graphics.
  • In dense urban or industrial environments, increased levels of smog, pollutants, and airborne particulates can also reduce durability—particularly on horizontal surfaces. These areas tend to collect contaminants and receive more direct UV exposure, which may shorten the lifespan of the wrap.
  • Vinyl films are not intended for permanent submersion in water, whether fresh or saltwater. For marine or watercraft applications, it is recommended to rinse graphics with fresh water after each use.
